Two Individuals Accused In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two men have been charged in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, police said.
A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – described by police as was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
