Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Well beyond 14 days subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can finally put my grief into words," posted Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the production, commenting that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a different essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate put a security hold on the cases to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" associated with the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of murder, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public individuals expressed different comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing divisive statements that were broadly criticized by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the critics recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "shocking" and remarked they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an adviser should have intervened when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
