Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the conclusion was reached following an review of claims about questionable actions involving female individuals.

The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.

Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, including a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
