Barça Set to Play First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium in early November. The club said approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
